East Kilbride FC - 6

Fort William - 2

EK got the pre-season programme off to a fast start, defeating Fort William 6-2 at K-Park on Saturday afternoon.

A first half goal blitz saw Kilby take a 4-0 lead into the half-time break, after goals from Craig Howie, Sean Winter and debut strikes from Anthony Marenghi and Ross McNeil.

Winter added his second of the match just after the interval to make it five, but Fort kept going and deservedly found the net with fifteen minutes remaining.

EK Substitute Craig Hastings then added a sixth for Kilby, before Fort has the final say, striking again just before full-time.

The stylish win is a great confidence boost for Martin Lachlan's men, who now embark on another week of training before Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale visit K-Park next Saturday as preparations for the new season continue to ramp up.
