Lowland League MD3 - match preview BSC Glasgow v East Kilbride FC
Saturday 4th August, kick-off 3pm at the Indodrill Stadium
East Kilbride make the trip to Alloa on Saturday to face BSC Glasgow in matchday 3 of the 2018/19 Lowland League.
Kilby go into the match in good spirit after a hard fought-away win at Dalbeattie Star on Wednesday, and Brian Kerr will be looking to maintain the 100% winning start to the season.
The EK Manager will go into the match with a full squad to choose from and competition for a starting spots may never have been keener at K-Park.
Home side BSC are seeking their first win of the new campaign, after a tough start saw them face East Stirling in an early double header.  The Shire came on top with a 1-0 win in the Irn Bru Cup last Sunday, whilst the spoils were shared in the Lowland League on Wednesday at Alloa in a 1-1 draw.
BSC will have some familiar faces in the ranks, in the form of Declan Hughes, Adam Strachan and Bryan Prunty, and are a side with several other new faces added over the summer.
The sides last met in the Lowland League in a tense affair in April which saw visitors Kilby take all three points in a 1-0 win which killed off the impressive BSC title challenge, with Craig Malcolm grabbing the only goal of the game.  Martin Grehan was shown an early red card for the home side and Sean Winter saw his Kilby penalty saved by Ryan Marshall, before Malcom struck in the second half. BSC were to get some revenge a fortnight later, running out 3-2 winners in the Lowland League Cup Rd 2, with Bentham (2) and an og for the home, and Sean Winter on target for EK.
The match on Saturday is a 3pm kick-off at the Indodrill, and highlights will be available on EKFCtv next week.
