East Kilbride are delighted to announce that Kieran Gibbons has agreed to join the club for the season ahead.

The ex- Aberdeen, Livingston and Cowdenbeath has impressed in a series of recent matches and joins the squad ahead of next Saturday's Lowland League curtain-raiser when Kilby visit Whitehill Welfare.

EK gaffer, Martin Lauchlan, was delighted to secure Gibbons, telling ekfc.co.uk, "I am really pleased that Kieron has agreed to join the club. At 21 years of age, he brings terrific energy, drive & quality to our team, whilst also adding great experience, having made 40 senior appearances in the SPFL."

Gibbons played 24 times for Livingston in the SPFL Championship last season, and has been in excellent form in recent pre-season matches at K-Park, and boss Lauchlan believes this to be a key part of his summer recruitment, adding, "Kieran has shown up really well in our preseason matches and will be a very important player for us this season"

The midfielder featured prominently in Kilby's 5-0 friendly victory over Tynecastle on Saturday, with striker Ross McNeill netting a hat-trick, with Sean Winter also on target and an own goal completing the scoring.
