HUGHES A CLEVER BOY, AS KILBY CLAIM RECORD!

.
 05-Nov-2016

East Kilbride FC - 3

BSC Glasgow - 1

Declan Hughes struck twice as East Kilbride made it a world record of 27 wins in a row to extend their lead at the top of the Lowland League.

Hughes struck after five minutes with a fine left footed shot, before Ross McNeil double the lead after half-time.

Aidan Ferris gave BSC hope midway through the second half, before Hughes had the final say for EK, firing home a fine free-kick on 85 minutes.

The match ended in memorable style, when Ajax Amsterdam's media team drove onto the pitch to present a signed Ajax shirt, along with 27 cases of Jupiler Dutch beer, to commemorate EK overtaking their record of 26 wins in a row.  The Dutch masters also had a video message from legendary Ajax, Holland and Man Utd Goalkeeper Edwin Van Der Sar.
