East Kilbride maintained their 100% start to the League season with a fine 5-0 win over Preston Athletic at Prestonpans this afternoon.
A Ross McNeil double, along with strikes from Adam Strachan, Martin McBride, and a Joao Victoria penalty saw EK comfortably take all three points.
Portuguese striker Victoria put Kilby on the road, when he converted a 17th minute spot-kick, after Adam Strachan had been tripped in the box.
Despite dominating the first half, the second goal did not arrive until a minute before the break, when Anthony Marenghi set up Ross McNeil, who curled home a great shot from 18-yards.
McNeil then struck again 10 minutes after the interval, glancing home a header from a Martin McBride corner.
Five minutes later, Adam Strachan netted his first EK goal, cutting in from the left, leaving the Preston defence in his wake, before firing a shot high into the net from 20-yards.
The scoring was completed 20 minutes from time, when a classic EK passing move on the right teed-up McBride, who found the top corner of the net from 18-yards, to make it 5-0.
The victory keeps EK top of the Lowland League table, with 12 points from four games, and a home match to come next against Gala Fairydean Rovers next Saturday.
