East Kilbride FC Amatuers striker Jonny Diack hit his 50th  goal of the season on Saturday as the SAFL Premier champions signed off the season in style with a 4-0 victory over Alba Thistle.

Goals in the first half from Jamie Innes and Davie Atha put EK on cruise control and when Diack was put through on 70 minutes the young striker showed composure beyond his years to round the goalkeeper and tap into an empty net to complete a quite magnificent season.

There was still time for Stuart McMillan to finish off a superb team move to make it four, and the K-Park side can be absolutely proud of their seasons efforts after a long hard campaign.

Two good runs in the national cups where they lost to eventual winners in both, and a defensive record of only 16 goals conceded in 18 games, with 51 scored giving a goal difference of 35, it's definitely a season to remember for the amateurs.

Diack's goal haul included no fewer than TEN hat-tricks, and included goals against Scottish cup winners Colville Park, and vital goals against title rivals St Josephs, Goldenhill and Oban Saints.

The highlight of EK's season has to be the 6-0 and 5-0 wins over rivals St Josephs who were 14/15 premier champions but in the end they just couldn't compete with the quality and consistency of John Browns side.

The manager is hoping to strengthen over the summer to begin the charge for six in a row and hopefully another good crack at the Scottish Cup
