Our talented 2007 Gold's hit the fairways last Sunday to prepare for this weekend's Glasgow City Cup, by having a team day out at "Footgolf" in Cumbernauld.

The hugely popular innovation which combines football and golf was a great way for coach Brian Mail to get his lads bonded together ahead of a busy weekend of football.

The team had a fantastic day of fun, as did the parents, with Stephen Cope coming out with the best score, Jim Speers achieving the "longest drive" and John Frame landing nearest the pin in the parent competition!

The boys' competition saw Robbie Frame come out on top and Ewan Flannigan smashing the longest drive on a great day of fun for everyone!

The lads now look forward to an exciting weekend of football, with the 2007 age group competing at the prestigious Glasgow City Cup in Renfrew.

Coach Brian Mail told ekfc.co.uk, “The Glasgow City Cup is a fantastic tournament to participate in, with some excellent teams, and it will be great for the boys to have the experience of some high quality games over a full weekend. We will be facing well known sides like Yett Farm and Charlie Miller SA, which can only be good for the development of the players, so we are really looking forward to a feast of football between now and Sunday.”
