Welcome to EKFC
We are a recently formed Football Club based in East Kilbride , South Lanarkshire , Scotland. A Club with strong beliefs on encouraging our youths, in East Kilbride, to enjoy and further their fitness and skills in an environment where our Coaches are trained and developed to all the relevant standards as a minimum . Please refer to The Teams on the Menu to view and see further details about our teams.
The original Club was founded in 1871, making it one of the oldest Clubs in Scotland, for example Rangers FC were founded in 1873 and Celtic FC in 1888.
The Club motto is “a priori “ or " based on what went before", as a reminder of both the original club, the 2 founding modern clubs and future development.
The club ethos is one of developing the children as people as well as players. The club has achieved the SFA Quality Mark Community Award as testimony to the high standards within the club. We have also been one of the first Clubs in Scotland to be awarded the SFA Disability Inclusive Award in recognition of our Community Programme involving children with additional support needs in local schools and our Sunday Club.
The new Club is based at K Park in Calderglen Country Park and in due course the dream is to start up the first ever professional club in East Kilbride in a yet to be decided location elsewhere in EK. K Park was built and is operated by the East Kilbride Community Trust, a registered Charity. K Park is also be available to other sports, such as rugby, athletics and also to other football clubs in the local area. The Club aspires to the highest levels on and off the pitch and the 5 Core Values of discipline, diet, fitness, respect and manners will underpin the aim of lifelong development.
